What time is check-in & check-out?

Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is before 11 am.

Is early check-in or late check-out available?

Late check-out may be available upon request for an additional fee, but late check-out requests are not guaranteed.

What are your front desk & lobby hours?

The lobby is open daily from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm.

What is the hotel's smoking policy?

We are proud to be a 100% non-smoking property in accordance with California State law.

Is wi-fi available? Is it free?

Yes, we have free wi-fi available. The network name is "Olema House." There is no password.

Can my luggage be stored at the hotel?

We are happy to store your luggage for you before check-in or after check-out. Please coordinate with our front desk staff.

Can you receive and hold my packages at the hotel?

We can receive and hold packages for groups with a receiving and handling fee

Do you allow photo shoots?

We welcome professional photo and video shoots, but advance permission is required from the GM or Director Of Sales. A site fee may apply. Inquire with our Sales Team events@olemahouse.com

How can I contact the front desk or concierge?

Our front desk & lobby hours are 7:30 am - 10:30 pm daily. Call or visit the front desk, and our staff will be happy to help you. For non-medical, after-hours emergencies, dial 555 from your room phone.

ROOMS & RESERVATIONS

What is Olema House's Guarantee Policy?

Specific to the rate at the time of booking. A deposit of the first night’s room and tax will be taken at the time of booking. Advance Purchase Rates will be charged in full.

What is Olema House's destination fee and what does it cover?

We have a destination fee of $35 per day, per room. This covers lodge amenities including parking, wifi, coffee & tea in the parlor from 7:30 am-10:00 pm, and complimentary water and wine in the rooms.

What types of rooms and suites do you have available?

Olema House offers unique guest rooms and two private cottages set on four acres of peaceful gardens and lawns. From Deluxe Rooms with vaulted ceilings to spacious loft-style suites and secluded cottages, each space combines modern design with classic lodge charm. All rooms feature private bathrooms, radiant-heat floors, plush bedding, and scenic views. Check out our accommodations page to learn more.

Do rooms have private restrooms?

Yes, all rooms have private restrooms.

Are there cribs available for infants?

Yes, we have a limited number of Pack N Plays available upon request in advance of your arrival.

Are accessible rooms or amenities available?

We offer an ADA mobility accessible option for our Creekview King guest room type (subject to availability). Please call us directly if you have any questions or concerns regarding the accessibility of your room, or visit our accessibility page to learn more about our accessible options.

What is your cancellation policy?

Specific to the rate at the time of booking, revisions must be made 48 hours prior to arrival.

Advance Purchase rates are Non-Refundable.

Group reservations cannot be canceled without prior approval from the contracted clients or the Director of Sales

How many rooms does Olema House have?

Olema House features twenty-two individually designed guest rooms and two private cottages, all set across four acres of peaceful gardens and lawns. Each space blends classic lodge charm with modern design and offers serene views of Olema Creek, our gardens, or the surrounding hills.

Yes, we have two meeting rooms (Board Room and Park Room).

Are group rates available?

Yes, we offer discounted group rate discounts. Discounts will vary based on the time of year and availability. For more info, email our Sales Team at events@olemahouse.com

Is outside catering allowed?

Outside food catering may be allowed. Outside beverage catering is not allowed.

Outside food catering is only approved with certain groups (over 120 guests). Prior approval from the Director of Sales is required.

How do I get there?

Olema House recommends arriving via a personal vehicle.

Taxi, Uber & Lyft may be available, but are limited in availability and reliability.

Chauffeured car service is available and recommended if you do not have a personal vehicle. For recommended local chauffeured car services, please inquire with our Guest Services team.

What are the cross streets?

Does the hotel provide transportation?

No, but Olema House would be pleased to assist in recommending chauffeured car service.

Do you have on-site parking?

Yes, free on-site parking is provided.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Is there a restaurant on site?

Yes! Located adjacent to Olema House, Due West Tavern is a modern California tavern serving fresh, seasonal fare sourced from the farms, ranches, and waters of West Marin. Guests can enjoy local oysters, craft cocktails, and farm-to-fork dishes in a cozy, historic setting.

You’ll also find Due West Market, offering fresh baked goods, picnic provisions, and local gifts.

What are the hours of the restaurant?

Due West Tavern is open for indoor and outdoor dining:

Wed–Fri: 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Happy Hour 4:00–6:00 PM)
Sat: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Sun: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Beginning March 2nd, 2026, Due West will open Mon & Tues 4:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Is in-room dining available?

No, we do not offer in-room dining or room service at this time.

PETS

What is your pet policy?

A one-time $75 fee, per pet, with a signed pet agreement. Additional deep-cleaning fees may apply.

How far do you have to walk to take your pet out?

A variety of rooms have direct access to the Main Lawn, inquire with our Guest Services team prior to booking your room for recommendations on the best room for you and your pet's needs.

What are nearby attractions?

West Marin has an abundance of attractions, including Pt Reyes National Seashore with dramatic cliffs, foggy headlands, quiet beaches, rolling grasslands, and dense forests to explore.

 

West Marin wine tastings are available at Heidrun Meadery & McEvoy Ranch.

 

For the more adventurous, head to Tomales Bay for kayaking with Pt Reyes Adventure Co & Blue Waters Kayaking.

 

Saddle up at Olema House with Five Brooks Ranch and explore the trails via horseback - departing from Olema Creek, right in our backyard.

How far is Olema House from the beach?

Olema House is just a short drive from some of the most scenic beaches along Point Reyes National Seashore. Limantour Beach is about 20 minutes away, while Drakes Beach and Heart’s Desire Beach can be reached in about 30 minutes.

What are some free things to do near Olema, CA?

Wander the hiking trails of Point Reyes National Seashore, visit the Bear Valley Visitor Center, or explore historic spots like the Olema Lime Kilns and Kule Loklo Coast Miwok village.
